It may be only January but we are looking ahead to the Spring months to kick off the NE SCTP competition year. It is an exciting time of year when teams start up their weekly practices and athletes start to connect/reconnect with athletes from other teams in our region. Below is a brief listing of a few upcoming events, further specifics will be posted as we get closer to the date(s).
“Frozen Finger International Skeet” fun shoot in CT – tentatively set for the last weekend in Feb or the first weekend in March, date to be finalized shortly. Winter is the perfect time for ISkeet enthusiasts (and for any SCTP athletes that want to learn International Skeet) to get together for a couple of rounds and some comradery. This a great chance for new “ISkeet”ers to shoot the international station format as well as to get familiar with the format for the semi-finals in this discipline. Email Amy Sheehan or Bill Vorra is you are interested in more information about the event.
“NE SCTP Season Opener Trap event” is slated for April 1st at MMSC. Great chance to dust off your ATA skills and to get back out on the trap fields at Minuteman.
“New England Clay Cup” will be held April 8th for Collegiate SCTP teams. College teams from all around our region will be converging at MMSC to take a try at bringing home the Clay Cup. Although, don’t leave this event off your calendar if you are an SCTP athlete in grade school, we need volunteers to help man this event.
“NE SCTP Spring Sporting Clays” event will be happening on April 23rd at MMSC.
